When to Go
Located near the Tropic of Capricorn, Mauritius enjoys warm tropical climate, making it an ideal all-year round island destination. You will find relatively little seasonal variation in temperatures, and generally pleasant and sunny on the coast year round. Winter, from May to October is warm and dry. Summer from November to April is hot, humid and rainy. Cyclones occur between January and March. Sea breezes blow all year, especially on the east coast, and the inland central plateau around Cure pipe is cooler and rainy year round. On average, the sun rises at 5.00am and sets at 7.00pm in Summer and in Winter, rises at 6.00am and sets at 6.00pm.
